An aggressive exploration and development program conducted by U.S. Silver since taking over ownership and operation of the Galena mine in June 2006, has resulted in a 93 percent increase in proven and probable silver ounces as compared to the January 1, 2006 estimate. Silver ounces contained in silver-lead ore increased by 477 percent, with a 394 percent increase in contained tons of lead. The tons of silver-lead ore reserves increased by 757 percent since January 2006. During this same period, proven and probable silver ounces contained in silver-copper ore increased by 97 percent. Silver ounces contained in silver-copper ore comprise 81 percent of the total proven and probable reserve at the Galena mine.
